That’s why we’re so pleased to welcome Dr. Clayton Jackson to our Sommerville location—a skilled, compassionate dentist who shares our dedication to clinical excellence and comfort-focused care.
Dr. Jackson is the ninth dentist in his family, a legacy that shaped his view of dentistry as both a calling and a privilege. “From a young age, I was told what a great profession this is,” he says. “Helping people feel comfortable, confident, and cared for is something I don’t take lightly.”
He offers general and cosmetic dentistry with a focus on implant placement and restoration, anterior esthetics, full mouth rehabilitation, and sleep apnea treatment, as well as IV and oral sedation. Whether a patient needs a simple composite filling or a full smile transformation, Dr. Jackson approaches every case with warmth, honesty, and a focus on long-term function and results.

Known for his calm, pressure-free approach, Dr. Jackson is deeply respected for his ability to connect with patients from all walks of life. He says the most rewarding part of his work is restoring confidence—whether it’s through a full mouth rehab or simply a great cleaning.
A Virginia native, Dr. Jackson earned his Bachelor of Science from James Madison University and his DDS from VCU School of Dentistry. He recently returned to Richmond after a year of advanced clinical practice in San Antonio. “Being away made me realize how much I missed Richmond,” he says. “It has that small-town feel but all the energy and amenities of a bigger city.”
When he’s not in the office, Dr. Jackson is likely catching a Squirrels game, trying out new local restaurants, or watching Nationals baseball. He’s an avid reader—his favorite book is The Baseball 100 by Joe Posnanski—and enjoys collecting baseball cards, golfing, running, and relaxing with friends.
